RECENT EVENTS

Our first ever GCN event took place in Europe’s cycling mecca - Mallorca. Dan and Si were joined by the GCN team to launch the concept with the aim of enhancing the traditional cycling training camp format with everything you love about GCN. We combined great riding and coaching from some of the world’s leading experts with a packed programme of fun and entertainment including the inaugural GCN Show live and Lloydy Pub Quiz. Guests rode alongside the GCN presenters to tackle the iconic Sa Calobra and Cap Formentor climbs providing the perfect prelude to the grand finale: The KOM Challenge.

Hosted by Dan, Chris and Mayalen, GCN Avoriaz took guests to the spectacular mountain top resort of Avoriaz in the heart of the French Alps. The region is well known for its road cycling regularly featuring in the Tour de France. This provided the opportunity to tackle some iconic TDF climbs such as the Col du Joux Plane (11.6% at 8.5%) as well as the stunning Col du Joux Verte (12.5km at 6.5%). The grand finale was the KOM Challenge across a 4.4km course at the top part of the Joux Verte starting from the famous ‘goat village’ at les Lindarets.

Hosted by Hank, Olly and Alan, GCN Saalbach took guests to the beautiful alpine resort of Saalbach-Hinterglemm in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Saalbach is better known for its MTB trails so GCN hit the tarmac and put the road routes to the test. We were not disappointed, exploring the incredible network of bike paths on day 1 around Pillersee and conquering the colossal Grossglockner (21km at 8%) on day 2. The riding culminated in the GCN KOM Challenge on the final day - a brutal 2.4km ascent averaging 12%! Riders were rewarded with schnapps and cheese at the summit with alpine horns adding to the traditional Austrian vibe to make GCN Saalbach a truly memorable experience.
